Why do l walk. Where do l start.
I’m one of those people who can’t stay home all day. At some point l have to get out and my favourite way to do that is to go for a walk. It really is the best form of exercise and costs me nothing, yet gives me so much in return.
I consider myself very lucky to have access to public transport which is just at the end of my street. I don’t have a car so this is how l get around. The beauty of walking is that l’m not restricted to where the bus goes; no, my world is made much bigger by the fact that l can then walk 20/30 minutes with ease if l need to.
When l say it costs nothing l mean it. If you have a good pair of runners you’re set. There’s no need to be dressed in all the latest gym wear, and l have to admit that l see a lot of people dressed like this. Here’s me after a walk last Saturday.
I actually went too far and was tired. I certainly don’t look like l’m going out clubbing. Honestly, l’ve even seen some women out running with make up on. You don’t need any of it; some comfortable clothes and shoes and you’re ready to go.
And when l’m out l love to look at gardens and the clouds and the sky. I especially love looking at trees. So when l say that walking gives me so much this is what l mean.
Beautiful sunrises. Each week l’m going to post my favourite photos of what l’ve seen that week. There’s always so much to see.
So that’s some of the reasons why l walk. It really is a simple pleasure to me.
